Thermal curtains insulated, lined curtains that cut window drafts
Thermal curtains are heavy, lined or coated curtains that reduce drafts and heat loss through windows and doorways — and during a winter outage they help keep one room warmer. StormForge supplies thermal curtains and insulated door curtains to home-textile distributors, retailers and private label brands.

Thermal curtain constructions
Triple-weave fabrics weave a dark yarn layer between two face layers; foam-backed curtains carry a coated backing; lined curtains add a separate thermal liner. All add mass and close the gap between window and room. Insulated door curtains hang across doorways, hallways and stairs to keep heat in one area.
Honest performance claims
How much a thermal curtain helps depends on the window, the fit, how the curtain is hung and the room. We do not claim R-values, energy-saving percentages or temperature differences. Flame-retardant fabrics can be quoted to customer-specified standards, with test reports on request; no fire rating is claimed by default. During an outage, curtains work best with a safe heat source — see kerosene heaters and wood stove fans.

Frequently asked questions
Do thermal curtains save energy?
They can reduce drafts and heat loss at windows, but results depend on the window and fit, so we do not claim energy-saving figures.
Are your thermal curtains also blackout curtains?
Many triple-weave and foam-backed constructions block most light; light blocking is described per fabric, not as a rating.
