Pipe insulation · wholesale & OEM
Pipe insulation foam and rubber pipe insulation for distributors and brands
Pipe insulation is one of the highest-volume freeze protection SKUs in hardware and plumbing retail. StormForge supplies polyethylene foam and elastomeric rubber pipe insulation in the diameters, wall thicknesses and lengths your market uses — plain, self-seal or printed under your brand.
- PE foam tubes — slit, self-seal adhesive or plain
- Elastomeric rubber (NBR/EPDM) tubes and sheets
- Sized to copper, PEX and steel pipe ODs
- Printed sleeves, size labels and retail bundles
Polyethylene foam vs rubber pipe insulation
Polyethylene (PE) foam is light, economical and easy to install — the classic grey tube sold for hot and cold water pipes and freeze protection. Elastomeric rubber insulation (NBR/EPDM blends) is more flexible, handles a wider temperature range and is common in HVAC and refrigeration lines as well as plumbing. We quote both so a distributor can cover retail and trade channels from one supplier.
Sizing pipe insulation
Insulation is sized by the pipe outside diameter it fits (for example 1/2" copper, 3/4" PEX) and by wall thickness. Note that nominal copper and PEX sizes have different ODs; list pipe type and size on the RFQ and we match the insulation ID. Thicker walls give more freeze protection; exposed pipes in cold areas are often paired with heat cable underneath.
Retail and trade packaging
Retail: header-carded or shrink-wrapped bundles with size labels and barcodes. Trade: bulk cartons by size. Private label: printed tubes or sleeves with your logo and product data. See wholesale for mixed-size container planning.

Typical ranges only. Thermal conductivity and fire performance are not claimed by default; reports on request.
No certification claimed by default. We do not claim FEMA, Miami-Dade NOA, UL, ASTM or any other approval, rating or test result. Products are built to customer-specified standards; test reports can be provided on request where available.
Frequently asked questions
What size pipe insulation do I need?
Match the insulation ID to the pipe’s outside diameter; note copper and PEX nominal sizes differ. Tell us pipe type and size and we match it.
Foam or rubber pipe insulation?
PE foam is the economical retail choice; rubber insulation is more flexible and covers a wider temperature range.
Does pipe insulation stop pipes from freezing?
It slows heat loss; for exposed pipes in hard freezes, combine insulation with heat cable.
Can you print our logo on the insulation?
Yes, printed tubes or sleeves are available at higher volumes.
Are your heat cables or insulation UL listed or ASTM tested?
We do not claim UL, CSA, ETL, ASTM or any other listing or test result by default. Products are built to the standards you specify, and test reports available for a given product can be provided on request.
