Storm shutter types

Accordion shutters fold to the sides of the opening and slide closed on top and bottom tracks — permanently mounted and quick to deploy. See accordion shutters.

Roll down shutters coil into a head box above the window and lower manually (crank or strap) or by motor. They double as security and shading, which is why they carry higher order values.

Storm panels / hurricane panels are corrugated aluminum, steel or clear polycarbonate panels bolted or slid into header and sill tracks before a storm, then stored. They are the most economical entry product. The product-led overview of all three is on hurricane shutters; a side-by-side comparison is in the shutter type comparison.

Who we supply

Shutter installers and window dealers who need consistent profiles and fast replacement parts; building-supply distributors stocking standard panel lengths; and brands adding storm protection next to flood barriers in a seasonal hurricane-prep range.
