Automatic shut-off valves · OEM & private label
Automatic water shut off valves motorized valves and smart leak shut-off kits
An automatic water shut off valve closes the main water supply as soon as a connected leak sensor detects water — turning an alert into prevention. StormForge supplies motorized ball valves, controllers and complete sensor-plus-valve kits to smart-home brands, plumbing distributors, insurers’ programs and installers.
- Motorized ball valves, or actuators that fit onto existing valves
- Wi-Fi or Zigbee / Z-Wave / LoRa control (by model)
- Kits with wired or wireless leak sensors
- White-label app and private label packaging
How an automatic shut-off valve works
A controller links one or more water leak sensors to a motorized valve on the main supply. When any sensor detects water, the controller drives the valve closed within seconds and sends an app alert. The homeowner — or a plumber — reopens it from the app or a manual override once the leak is fixed.
Valve formats
- Inline motorized ball valves — installed in the main line by a plumber; sizes typically 1/2" to 1" (DN15–DN25), larger on request
- Retrofit valve actuators — clamp onto an existing quarter-turn valve, no pipe cutting; popular for DIY retail
- Controller + sensor kits — valve, hub or controller and 1–3 sensors in one box
Selling valves with leak sensors
Shut-off valves turn a leak detector program into a premium bundle. Most of our buyers start with the water leak detector range and add a valve kit as the top SKU. Pair with sump pump alarms for basement protection and a temperature alarm for freeze warnings.
Compliance, honestly
Valves contact drinking water and contain electronics. We do not claim UL, FCC, CE, drinking-water or other certifications by default; valves are built to the standards you specify and test reports available for a given model can be provided on request. Inline valves should be installed by a qualified plumber.

Frequently asked questions
Do automatic shut-off valves need a plumber?
Inline valves are installed in the main line by a plumber; retrofit actuators clamp onto an existing quarter-turn valve without cutting pipe.
Can the valve work with our existing leak sensors?
Valves on the same protocol and platform can be paired; we confirm compatibility per model.
What happens during a power cut?
Some models include battery backup; behaviour during outages is confirmed per model.
Can you supply larger valve sizes?
Sizes above 1" can be discussed for light-commercial projects.
Are your leak detectors UL listed, FCC or CE certified?
We do not claim UL, FCC, CE or any other certification by default. Electronics are built to the standards you specify on the RFQ, and test reports available for a given model can be provided on request. Market compliance for your brand remains your responsibility.
