Pipe heat cable · OEM & wholesale
Heat cable self-regulating and constant-wattage pipe heat cable kits
Heat cable — often sold as pipe heat tape — wraps or runs along a water pipe and warms it when temperatures drop. StormForge supplies plug-in heat cable kits and bulk cable for hardware distributors, plumbing wholesalers and private label brands.
- Self-regulating cable that adjusts output along its length
- Constant-wattage kits with built-in thermostat (by model)
- Plug types and voltages for your market
- Retail kits bundled with insulation on request
Self-regulating vs constant-wattage heat cable
Self-regulating heat cable uses a conductive polymer core that increases output as the pipe cools and reduces it as it warms; it can usually be overlapped (follow product instructions) and cut-to-length in bulk versions. Constant-wattage heat cable delivers fixed output per foot and is typically sold as fixed-length kits with a built-in thermostat that switches on near freezing. Both are quoted with the plug, voltage and length your market needs.
Use with pipe insulation
Heat cable is installed along the pipe and covered with pipe insulation to keep heat where it’s needed. Retail kits that bundle cable, insulation and fixing tape simplify the purchase for homeowners. Add a temperature alarm from our smart sensor range for remote freeze warnings.
Safety and compliance
Heat cable is a mains-powered electrical product. We do not claim UL, CSA, ETL or other listings by default; products are built to customer-specified standards and available test reports can be provided on request. Your market’s electrical compliance requirements should be stated on the RFQ.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between heat cable and heat tape?
They usually mean the same product — an electric heating cable for pipes. “Heat tape” is the common retail term.
Self-regulating or constant-wattage — which to sell?
Self-regulating is more flexible and premium; constant-wattage kits are simpler and economical.
Can you supply heat cable for 230 V markets?
Yes, 220–240 V versions with market plugs can be quoted.
Do you supply roof and gutter de-icing cable?
Pipe heat cable is the focus; roof/gutter and snow melt products can be discussed for later phases.
Are your heat cables or insulation UL listed or ASTM tested?
We do not claim UL, CSA, ETL, ASTM or any other listing or test result by default. Products are built to the standards you specify, and test reports available for a given product can be provided on request.
