Water storage containers portable, stackable jugs, bricks and cans (5–25 L)
Water storage containers are the portable side of emergency water: jugs, bricks and cans a person can fill, stack in a closet and carry when full. StormForge supplies stackable water containers to preparedness brands, outdoor and hardware retailers and distributors — in your colors, with your labels and the material documentation you specify.
- Stackable rectangular jugs with spigot and vent cap, approx. 10–25 L
- Interlocking water bricks, approx. 13–16 L class
- Water cans / jerry cans for carrying, approx. 10–20 L
- Collapsible jugs approx. 5–20 L for compact storage
- Opaque colors to limit light; private label labels and molded logos
Portable water container formats
Stackable jugs with a spigot are the most popular retail format: they nest on a shelf and dispense without lifting. Water bricks interlock so a household can build a stable stack under a bed or in a closet. Water cans with carry handles suit car kits and refilling at a distribution point. Collapsible jugs pack flat until a storm is forecast. For bulk volumes see water storage tanks and barrels.
Containers, tanks or a plan?
- Water storage tanks: barrels and drums (55-gallon class), collapsible tanks and larger tanks, plus rainwater tanks — high capacity, stays put.
- Water storage containers (this page): portable, stackable jugs, bricks and cans in the 5–25 L class — carry, stack and rotate.
- Emergency water storage guide: how households plan quantity, rotation and treatment — and what that means for your product range.
Materials and documentation
Containers are usually blow-moulded HDPE in opaque blue or another dark color; collapsible jugs use LDPE or TPU film. We do not assert food-grade, BPA-free, NSF/ANSI, FDA or other drinking-water status by default: the resin specification is set by the customer, and declarations or test reports can be provided on request where available. Labels should carry cleaning, filling and rotation guidance from your compliance team.
Building a container program
Retailers typically stock one or two jug sizes, a brick set and a collapsible option, merchandised beside mylar food storage bags, lighting and emergency kits. Our emergency water storage guide is useful content to link from your product listings.
