Hail car covers padded and inflatable hail protection car covers

A hail car cover adds a cushioned layer over the most exposed panels of a vehicle — roof, hood, trunk and glass — when hail is forecast. • Padded multi-layer covers with foam over roof, hood and glass

Hail car cover construction

A typical padded cover uses a waterproof outer shell (Oxford polyester or PEVA), one or more layers of EPE or EVA foam over the roof, hood and windshield, and a soft inner lining that faces the paint. Elastic hems, underbody straps and side-mirror pockets keep it in place in wind. Thicker padding gives more cushion but adds weight and storage volume — we help you balance protection, price and pack size.

Hail protection car cover options

Padded hail protection car covers are the volume SKU: light enough to fit in a trunk bag and quick to deploy. Inflatable hail protection car covers use TPU or PVC air chambers filled by a 12 V or rechargeable pump for a thicker cushion and sit at the premium end. Full covers protect the whole vehicle; half covers focus on the top surfaces for faster deployment.

What to specify

  • Vehicle size range (sedan, SUV, pickup) or specific models

  • Fastening: straps, elastic hems, mirror pockets, lock grommets
  • Logo printing, colors, storage bag and retail box

Set honest expectations

No cover makes a car hail-proof. Large hailstones and strong winds can still cause damage. We do not claim impact ratings or test results by default; material and drop-test reports available for a given model can be provided on request. We recommend listings say “helps reduce hail damage” rather than “hail-proof”.

Frequently asked questions

Do hail car covers really work?

A padded or inflatable cover helps reduce damage from small to moderate hail; very large hail can still dent panels. Thicker padding gives more cushion.

What is the difference between a hail car cover and a regular car cover?

A regular car cover is a thin dust and sun layer; a hail car cover adds foam padding or air chambers over the top surfaces.

Can you make covers for pickups and large SUVs?

Yes, pickup and large-SUV sizes are standard; model-specific patterns can be developed for volume programs.

Can the cover carry our brand?

Yes, logos can be printed on the cover and storage bag, with private label packaging.

Is your hail car cover hail-proof or impact rated?

No hail cover makes a car hail-proof, and we do not claim any impact rating, test result or certification by default. Protection depends on hailstone size and wind. Material and drop-test reports available for a given model can be provided on request.
