Lightning & surge protection lightning rods, lightning arresters and whole house surge protectors

Thunderstorms damage homes two ways: a direct strike to the structure, and voltage surges that travel in on power, antenna and data lines. StormForge supplies lightning rods, conductors and fittings for the first, and lightning arresters and whole house surge protectors for the second — to electrical distributors, installers and private label brands.

  • Lightning rods (air terminals), conductors, clamps and ground rods
  • Lightning arresters for service entrances, antennas and PV
  • Whole house surge protectors for the main panel
  • Private label packaging and installer kits

Lightning and surge protection products

Lightning rods (air terminals) mounted on the roof, bonded to conductors and ground rods, give a strike a defined path to earth. Lightning arresters divert high-energy surges on service entrances, antenna masts, outbuildings and solar arrays. Whole house surge protectors install at the main panel and limit surges from the utility or from switching events before they reach appliances.

Lightning rods and air terminals

We quote copper, copper-clad and aluminium air terminals with matching base fittings, cable clamps, conductors (braided or solid) and ground rods. Residential kits and contractor bulk packs are both common. A lightning protection system should be designed and installed by a qualified installer to the standard your market requires; we do not claim compliance with any lightning protection standard by default.

Layered protection

No single device protects everything. Installers typically combine a structural lightning protection system, a panel-level surge protector and point-of-use protection. Bundling surge protection with generator transfer switches gives storm-region distributors a strong pre-season offer.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a lightning rod and a lightning arrester?

A lightning rod gives a direct strike a path to ground through the structure’s lightning protection system; a lightning arrester diverts surge energy on electrical or signal lines.

Do you install lightning protection systems?

No. We supply components to distributors, brands and installers; design and installation are done by qualified local installers.

Can you supply mixed lightning and surge items in one order?

Yes, fittings, arresters and surge protectors can be mixed per container.

Are your surge protectors and lightning arresters UL listed or IEC tested?

We do not claim UL, ETL, CSA, CE, IEC or any other listing, certification, rating or test result by default. Devices are built to the standards you specify on the RFQ, and test reports available for a given model can be provided on request. Installation must be done by a licensed electrician to local code.
